Screen Receipts does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Your screen time data never leaves your device.
Screen Receipts uses Apple's DeviceActivity framework to read your screen time usage. This data is processed entirely on your device inside a sandboxed extension. Per-app usage data cannot leave the extension process — this is enforced by iOS, not just our promise.
When you choose to share a receipt, only an anonymous summary is sent (total hours, top app name, projected days, voice line). No device identifiers, no account info, no raw usage data. Shared receipts are stored with a random ID and your IP address is hashed (not stored in plain text).
If you opt in, Screen Receipts reads sleep, workout, and mindfulness data from HealthKit to show correlations with screen time. This data is cached locally in the App Group container and never transmitted.
None. No analytics SDKs. No ad networks. No tracking pixels. No fingerprinting.
